An announcement today made by the New York State Department of Health Acting Commissioner Howard Zucker states that influenza is no longer considered prevalent in New York State for the 2013-2014 flu season.

The flu was declared widespread on December 19, 2013, which meant that all healthcare workers in New York State were required to either wear a mask when among patients or get the annual flu shot. As per today’s declaration, this requirement has been lifted until the flu is once again declared prevalent in the state.

In preparation for the upcoming 2014-2015 flu season, Mobile Health now offers automatic batch scheduling for Flu Shot Express appointments with our client portal.

This means you can schedule several thousand employees for their corporate flu vaccine with a single click. The client portal will automatically assign dates, times, and locations for each employee’s vaccination. If an employee needs a different appointment, your Mobile Health Flu Project Manager is available to handle any rescheduling.

The client portal helps to manage your vaccination program with automatic, daily reports:

  • Schedule report of all employees scheduled and their appointment information.
  • No-show report of all employees who missed their appointments.
  • Vaccination report of all employees who were vaccinated and the details required by the DOH.

Flu Shot Express batch scheduling starts on September 2nd 2014 and is available for all agency pay vaccination appointments. To allow proper scheduling time, the deadline for batch registration is July 31st, but appointment fulfillment is on a first come, first served basis.

Appointment times for this program are extended to weekday evenings and weekends at all six Mobile Health medical centers, and visits take less than 15 minutes!

This is a fully managed, hands-free flu program. A dedicated Flu Shot Manager will be assigned to your agency to track appointment changes, reporting questions, and help with your outreach program.

The 2013-2014 flu season had two distinct waves of elevated flu activity. Protect your employees against the next influenza invasion and plan your flu program today.
