New Medical Result Coding

Current medical records are coded with the following results:

  • Green / Employable
  • Yellow / Employable
  • Red  / Employable or Not Employable

In reviewing this practice, we discovered that Mobile Health was determining the employment viability for the patient.

Since the testing conducted by Mobile Health is bound by New York State, New York City and sometimes federal regulations, our results only determine if a patient is “Medically Qualified” or “Not Medically Qualified”.  The actual decision to employ a patient rests solely with the hiring company.  We understand that this is a departure from past practice, but Mobile Health cannot and should not influence the hiring decision.

Effective, February 16, 2015, our results information will be presented as follows:

  • Green / Medically Qualified
  • Yellow / Medically Qualified
  • Red / Not Medically Qualified

For DOT exams:

  • Green / Fit
  • Red / Not Fit
  • Yellow is completely removed.

Under any of these conditions, the hiring authority may choose to employ or not employ the patient.
If you have any questions, please call your Account Services representative.

New Patient Queue for Manhattan and Brooklyn

Following the successes of the new Bronx queue lines, Mobile Health is expanding the A/B line queues to both Manhattan and Brooklyn. The new queue has shown to decrease patient wait time and decrease the overall time patients spend at our locations.

Please familiarize yourself with how the queue works and encourage your employees to arrive for their appointments at the appropriate time scheduled.

You can read more about the queue here.
